Why employers book UK Ear Care

We come to you
No travel, no half-days lost to appointments — our clinicians set up on site and see your whole team in one visit.
A culture of hearing safety
Regular ear health checks sit naturally alongside hearing protection and occupational health programmes in noisy industries.
Fewer sick days
Blocked ears cause discomfort, dizziness and communication problems. Clearing them on site keeps small issues from becoming absences.
Every ear checked properly
Each employee gets a video otoscope examination, treatment only if needed, and a GP letter if anything needs referral.

Ear care where hearing matters most

In construction, manufacturing and transport, hearing keeps people safe — warnings, alarms and radio calls all depend on it. In call centres and offices, blocked ears make headsets muffled and long calls exhausting. Wherever your team works, ear wax build-up is one of the most common — and most easily fixed — causes of hearing trouble.

Our clinicians are NHS-trained, DBS-checked specialists who also train NHS staff and medical professionals in ear care. We have been keeping ears healthy for more than six years, and every workplace visit is delivered to the same standard as our clinics in Glasgow and Manchester.

How a workplace visit works

We keep disruption to an absolute minimum — most employees are away from their desk or station for around 10–15 minutes. Here is how a typical visit runs:

Employees who need no treatment still get real value from the visit: a proper look inside both ears, a clear explanation of what the clinician can see, and honest advice on protecting their hearing at work.

Book a date — call 0330 043 6890 and we'll agree a visit that suits your rota or shift pattern
We bring full clinic equipment — portable microsuction, water irrigation and manual removal instruments, plus a video otoscope
You provide a private room — a small meeting room or first aid room with a chair and a plug socket is all we need
Each employee gets a video otoscope check — they can watch the live image of their own ear canal on screen
Treatment on the spot if needed — the clinician picks the best method for each person on the day
Aftercare advice for everyone — plus a GP letter if anything is spotted that needs medical follow-up

Group pricing and coverage

Workplace visits are priced as a group rate depending on team size and location — call our national line on 0330 043 6890 for a quote. Many employers move to a recurring schedule so hearing checks become a routine part of their health and safety calendar.

We currently serve workplaces across Central Scotland and the Greater Manchester area. Individual employees can also visit our clinics in Glasgow or Manchester seven days a week, 9am–9pm.

Frequently asked questions

How much space do you need?
Just a private room — a small meeting room, first aid room or quiet office works perfectly. We need a chair for the employee, a plug socket, and enough room for the clinician and their portable kit.
How long does each employee take?
Around 10–15 minutes each: a quick health questionnaire, a video otoscope examination, treatment if wax is found, then a re-check and aftercare advice. We'll plan the day so people rotate through with minimal disruption.
Do employees pay, or does the company?
Either — it's flexible and arranged when you book. Some employers cover the full cost as a staff benefit; others part-fund it or let employees pay individually on the day.
What if an employee has no wax?
They still receive a full video otoscope examination of both ears and personalised advice on hearing health at work. If the clinician spots anything that needs medical attention, they'll provide a GP letter.
Are your clinicians qualified for workplace settings?
Yes — all our clinicians are NHS-trained, DBS-checked ear care specialists, and our team also trains NHS staff and medical professionals in ear care. We're happy to provide documentation for your health and safety records.
Which areas do you cover?
We serve workplaces across Central Scotland and the Greater Manchester area. If your site is just outside these areas, call 0330 043 6890 — we can often accommodate by arrangement.
